eHealth Arena is a collaborative initiative promoting digital health in Kalmar County and the world. By creating a platform for business, healthcare, academia, and the public to meet and exchange experiences and ideas, Kalmar has become a global hub in the area.
What’s the goal of eHealth Arena?
Our vision is to make Kalmar County an even more important center for developing digital health, in Sweden and the whole world! Our aim is to increase the use of digital health services, support business growth in the digital health sector, and develop a knowledge hub for idea exchange and innovation.
Who manages eHealth Arena?
eHealth Arena is managed by Region Kalmar County in close collaboration with Linnaeus University, Kalmar Science Park, local municipalities, and businesses.
What is HDS and what do they do?
eHealth Arena is a part of HDS, short for Health Data Sweden, which is a program supporting innovation in health data. Through this partnership we can assist companies with funding, pilot projects, and or reaching the right target audiences. Learn more about HDS here.
Why Kalmar?
Other than being the gateway to the rest of Europe, Kalmar County has become a leading region in digital health. It’s often called Sweden’s digital health county in the digital health world. Thanks to over 20 years of strategic and long-term efforts, major organizations such as the digital health Institute and the Swedish digital health Agency have established themselves here. Kalmar is where it’s at, in the world and especially the world of digital health!
